Brierley '50's Stratocaster Relic Set.
These are Mick Brierley's take on mid '50's vintage strat with his full relic treatment on the pickups and the covers. Staggered alnico 5 magnets, heavy Formvar wire, with the bridge wound a bit hotter and the middle reverse wound/reverse polarity for hum cancelling in positions 2 and 4. Fibre flatwork is used and the assembled bobbins are dipped in nitro lacquer - just like the originals. The pickups are hand scatter wound and the completed pickups are wax potted in a paraffin wax/beeswax mix. Set comes complete with screws and 'springs'.
